The first President of the club was the late Chief Philip Bell of Kearny. 
The organization has grown considerably since its inception. The 
purpose for which this corporation was formed (originally) was to 
bring together members of  Federal, State, County, Municipal and 
other law enforcement agencies and to promote fraternal and social 
interaction among Masons who are Police Officers in good standing 
in a regular and duly constituted Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons. 
To promote good fellowship, sustain Brotherly love, broaden 
acquaintances, aid and assist its members in case of sickness and 
distress. Today it has gone much further that in 1926, we now have a 
bullet proof vest campaign, which raises money, donated by citizens 
throughout the State and we then donate new top of the line vests to 
officers, who must pay for the vest themselves. Besides the vests, we 
also will buy officers specialty equipment such as kavliar helmets and 
other special teams equipment. We also raise funds for other charities 
such as our own Air Aid, which provides funds to pay medical bills 
of children, which the parents are sometimes overwhelmed with the 
high cost of medical care. We still take care of our own when needed 
in extreme cases We are now a National and International 
organization where we can broaden our efforts to help People in 
Distress
